What are neck labels for clothing?
A neck label sits on the inside of a garment and displays information such as brand, size, material or care instructions. It can be printed directly onto the fabric or applied as a woven, satin or other suitable label.
For clothing brands, a neck label is more than a functional information carrier. It strengthens recognition, supports a professional presentation and shows that the garment belongs to a consistent collection.

What belongs on a professional neck label?
A good neck label starts with a clear information hierarchy. The brand name, logo and size should be easy to recognise, while fibre composition, care, origin or other product details remain legible. The required information depends on the garment, market and sales channel. The clothing brand remains responsible for accurate and complete product information; AJDN helps translate the supplied content into a technically workable label.
For a direct neck print we review the fabric, colour contrast, available space and suitability of the garment. A woven, satin or printed label offers different options for appearance, detail and attachment. Comfort also matters: dimensions, edges, position and the possible removal of an existing label are discussed before production.
Collections often contain several sizes, colours and garment models. We therefore ask for a clear matrix by article or SKU, so every variant receives the correct size label and information. Position, reading direction, colour, dimensions and quantities are recorded for production. A sample can be used to assess legibility, appearance and feel against the skin before the full run starts.

Printed from one item
- Printed neck labels are available from one garment and start at €0.50 per application.
Size and colour
- Printed neck labels can be produced in full colour up to 100 × 100 mm.
Woven labels
- Woven labels are available from 250 units, from €80 for label production only, with an average production time of 5–10 working days.
Attach and replace
- Attaching a woven label costs €2 per garment, including removal of the existing label. Attaching a care or size label costs €1.50.
Files and checks
- Supply a PNG at actual production size and at least 300 dpi. Customer-supplied woven labels are accepted; AJDN checks material, position and files before production.
